Ajman University wins Campaign of the Year – Education at GovMedia Awards 2025
Ajman University has been awarded the prestigious GovMedia Award for “Best Education Sector Campaign” across Asia, recognizing its campaign “Be Career Ready,” which aimed to attract students and enhance their preparedness for the evolving job market.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Vice Chairman of Ajman University’s Board of Trustees,, praised the achievement, stating:
“This well-deserved international recognition reflects the vision and guidance of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and the continued support of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University. Their leadership has established a solid academic foundation, positioning education as a pillar of sustainable development and a tool for empowering individuals to contribute meaningfully to national progress.”
He added, “The University has aligned its mission with the emirate’s vision by promoting career readiness and placing students at the core of the developmental model, recognizing that investing in human capital is key to building the future.”
This recognition further strengthens the UAE’s growing presence in regional and international academic excellence and affirms Ajman’s ambitious approach to higher education.
The award coincided with Ajman University’s top ranking in the UAE for “Employer Reputation” in the 2025 QS World University Rankings. This highlights the success of the campaign in aligning academic output with job market needs. The award-winning campaign was not just a promotional initiative but a reflection of the University’s solid academic standing in career readiness.
Ajman University also saw an unprecedented influx of new students for the 2024–2025 academic year, achieving its highest enrollment in history. This result demonstrates the campaign’s direct impact on student recruitment and confidence in the University’s academic and career pathways.
The award was presented during an official ceremony in Singapore, attended by government and academic delegations from across the continent, adding international weight to the achievement and reinforcing the University’s role as a leader in shaping the future of education.
Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, expressed gratitude to the Ruler and Crown Prince of Ajman for their ongoing support, stating: “This international recognition is the result of a collective institutional effort and a strategic communication vision that places the student at the center, with impact as the goal and excellence as the approach.”
